About Me!
eHello! My name is Tammy Koontz and this is my 32nd year of teaching. I have taught 2nd through 5th grades, and now I am the reading specialist here at South for 6th through 8th grade. I loved working with elementary students, but felt a calling to work with middle school students to support them in closing academic gaps. I enjoy getting to work with students that I taught in 3rd grade at Denton Elementary, as well as many new faces this year. My family lives in the West Davidson community, but I love the South Davidson community and feel blessed to be part of this wonderful second home. I have two children that graduated from West Davidson High School and I am so proud of the wonderful young people that they have become. In my free time my husband and I enjoy camping with our Multipoo Sassy, hanging out with my daughter who lives in Tyro and son and bonus daughter who live in Linwood. In November, my husband and I became grandparents to a precious baby boy, who is the apple of our eye!
