About Me!
Hello! My name is Tammy Koontz and this is my 33rd year of teaching. I have taught 2nd through 5th grades, and now I am the reading interventionist here at South for 6th through 8th grade. I loved working with elementary students, but felt a calling to work with middle school students to support them in closing academic gaps. I enjoy getting to work with students that I taught in 3rd grade at Denton Elementary, as well as many new faces this year. My family lives in the West Davidson community, but I love the South Davidson community and feel blessed to be part of this wonderful second home. I have two children that graduated from West Davidson High School and I am so proud of the wonderful young people that they have become. In my free time my husband and I enjoy camping with our Multipoo Sassy, hanging out with my daughter who lives in Tyro and son, bonus daughter, and precious grandson who live in Linwood. Being Gigi to our grandson is the best job ever!
