Welcome to my page.  It is an exciting year at South Davidson Middle High School.  I am excited to serve as the Career Development Coordinator for our school and Lead CDC for Davidson County Schools.  My role as the CDC is to facilitate career exploration and development with our students.  We will discuss career goals that will provide insight into a career development plan for each student.  Students have the opportunity to job shadow, intern and apprentice at different companies that align with their career goals.  We are excited to partner with Davidson Davie Community College and offer the Career and College Promise program where students can complete college classes while being dually enrolled at South Davidson.

About Me
I am a graduate of Guilford College and a SDHS alumni.  I served as a business teacher at South Davidson Middle School for 18 years.  I have worked for Davidson County Schools for 19 years. I have served on our school SIT, PBIS, Literacy and MTSS teams. I have also served on the District Literacy team and am currently the department chair. I have four children all of which are graduates of South Davidson High School. I also have three grandchildren. I am a Wildcat at heart and believe our school has the best students in the state.

It has been my long time goal to serve our students at South in the area of college and career development.  I am thrilled to serve our students and assist them in their college and career goals. The newly created College and Career Center is just one of our new additions to South.  I am also excited to work with students in creating career plans. We will be using NC Careers. NC Careers is a program that will begin career development plans for all of our students.  Students will have the opportunity to plan and organize classes, research CTE pathways, assess their interests and create job application documents such as a resume.  This is an awesome time to be a Wildcat! I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities provided to them through our programs.

Students can reach me in our new SDHS College and Career Center or email me at [email protected].

I am located in the SDHS College and Career Center located on the English hall in room 240. If you would like to make appointment with me for advising, click on the paw print to the left.
